SIGMA Photo Pro 6.0.0 for Windows and SIGMA Photo Pro 6.0.0 for Macintosh Software [14/6/25]
Customers who use SIGMA dp Quattro series, SIGMA DP Merrill Series and SIGMA SD1/ SD1 Merrill cameras.
Note: The RAW data(X3F files) taken with SIGMA DP1 / DP1s / DP1x, SIGMA DP2 / DP2s / DP2x, SIGMA SD9, SIGMA SD10, SIGMA SD14 and SIGMA SD15 are not supported by SIGMA Photo Pro 6.0.0. Please use SIGMA Photo Pro 5.5.3 until the release of SIGMA Photo Pro 6.1.0 which will support all models.

• Windows 7 and Windows 8 (64 bits) users have to make sure the KB2929755 update is installed prior to installing SPP 6.0.1. KB2929755 can be found here (Win 7) and here (Win 8). I cannot install the update myself (not applicable to Windows 8.1?) so I cannot tell whether it solves the TIFF/JPEG saving issue, which is still there with Sigma Photo Pro 6.0.1. Sometimes, the error window does not appear, but in any case, the file is not recorded, or is empty (0 byte). Please feel free to share your experience in the comments.

• Mac users who work in the Adobe RGB color space may want to take a look at the issue described on this page, but it is of little relevance if you do not have the dp2 Quattro. Why? Well, you are invited to use SPP 5.5.3 for processing X3F files taken with SD1 or DP Merrill cameras.

• Good news: Sigma Photo Pro 6.1.0 will support all Sigma DP and SD models.

• ・It has corrected the phenomenon that the software occasionally fails to open the X3F files taken by the SD1, SD1 Merrill and DP Merrill series.
• ・It has corrected the phenomenon that it does not save the capture date information when the images are saved in JPEG and TIFF formats.

• ・It has corrected the phenomenon that the software occasionally displays the message “File I/O error” at the time of startup, and becomes frozen.
• ・It has corrected the bugs that display images in Display Quality Priority Mode improperly when they are recorded in 3:2 aspect ratio. Images that are recorded in an aspect ratio other than 3:2 were often saved in the wrong aspect ratio.

• ・It has corrected the phenomenon that the software does not save images properly when SIGMA Photo Pro 6 is launched by double-clicking the X3F data or drag-and-drop of the image file directly on the software’s icon.
• ・It has corrected the phenomenon that it occasionally fails to open the print window and preview window for printing.

• It has improved the image quality of long exposure photography, taken by the SIGMA dp2 Quattro.
• It has corrected the phenomenon that JPEG images developed from X3F files are neither properly displayed in the photo editing software nor successfully uploaded to SNS/websites.
• It has corrected the phenomenon that it resets the displayed position of thumbnails when the main window is updated after saving and deleting images.
• It has corrected the phenomenon that the print size in the print window occasionally goes back to the default settings.
• It has corrected the phenomenon that X3F files are not properly processed when the images are taken with the SD1 or Merrill series cameras and the color space is set at Adobe RGB.

It has reduced the longitudinal noise that appears occasionally when changing each adjustment value in the image correction process substantially during the development of RAW files in SIGMA Photo Pro Ver.6.

・It has corrected the resolution of the images of specific objects taken under certain conditions.
・It has added the parameter to compensate for the saturation of red colors and improved the detail resolution of the specific part.
* This is only when "Neutral" color mode of SIGMA dp Quattro is selected, and there is no change for the parameter in other color modes.
・It has improved the performance to offer more stable operation. This is effective in cases such as when a network drive's shortcut is in use and the computer environment has multiple connections more than E drive.
・It has corrected the phenomenon that multiple pictures that are developed and saved as JPEG and TIFF in the software may happen to merge into one image data in the folder.

* It is now compatible with the RAW data (X3F files) of all SIGMA digital cameras including the SIGMA dp1 Quattro.
* It has corrected the phenomenon that folders do not appear properly in the ‘Computer’ section of the Main Window.
* It has improved the processing speed when RAW data (X3F files) of the SIGMA dp Quattro is displayed in “Display Quality Priority Mode”.
